Inside its metaverse, Manticore Games had music, games, and entertainment talks by meta-panels about the metaverse. What a way to talk about the other worlds.
Metaverse Core is made by Manticore Games, and it has more than 50,000 games and other online experiences. Core is like Roblox in that it gives players a platform and tools for making games. But Core is different because it uses Epic's Unreal Engine, which gives its graphics and animations a more realistic look.
This week, Manticore Games held talks about the metaverse and how it can be used to combine different types of entertainment. A number of business leaders were there to talk about their thoughts on the subject in hybrid panels. The talks were about the future of virtual entertainment, live music, virtual music events, and how big brands are making money off of metaverse. The meta-panels moved in a Core environment that was always changing.
The panelists talked about music, bands, brands, fans, and the future of live concerts to start off the talks. Artists, tech leaders, and event planners who were already familiar with digital, XR, and VR experiences were among the panelists.
Geoff Keighley and Joel Zimmerman, also known as Dead Mouse, then performed at the event. Zimmerman has also put out his latest work in Core and gone "Live." Mxmtoon, who worked on Life is Strange: True Colors, then joined the panel. Later, Jillian Rothman, a member of Warner Music Group, and Mikael Moore, a member of Wondaland, also added to the song.
The conversations then moved on from music to games, where they talked about games and how game content is experienced in the metaverse. Rob Lowe, who is the managing director of Lego Ventures Digital Play, Jordan Maynard, who is the CEO of Manticore Games, Athena Demos of Big Rock Creative (BRCvr), Courtney Birk, and Ashleigh Coffell were all on the meta-panel.
Manticore Games' Frederic Descamps said, "You know, we're making the tools and systems for people to organize all kinds of events in Core."
"Everything you'll see at a Deadmau5 show is open to all creators," Descamps said. "There are already things that people can use to plan events. They can be just about anything. And you'll be there as a person who makes players."
